It is impressive how fast UBS managed to overcome recent troubles and I would like to contribute my part to a new chapter of this exciting firm. I have recently finished my studies in Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich and I cannot wait to put my theoretical knowledge into practise. Through UBS’s website I learned about your bank's present career opportunities. Due to my affection for numbers and statistics I developed a keen interest in the world of finance, especially in the equity market. Therefore, I am interested in pursuing an equity research internship at your firm.

My studies in Banking and Finance have strengthened my ability to think critically, to analyse information carefully and to think outside the box. During my studies I wrote several papers. Hence, I am familiar with analysing quantitative data using Excel and Stata.
Evidence of my leadership and organizing skills can be seen in my responsibilities as a club president. During my work as a volleyball coach I developed and refined strong interpersonal and team playing skills. What I particularly like about these activities is to motivate people, to contribute my opinion and to learn from others.
Since I am very ambitious, I developed an insatiable appetite for peak performance and continuous learning. I am used to achieving my set goals with my unbreakable will. So did I as a volleyball player, when I managed to play as a professional in the highest league.
During my studies I used the English language regularly. This summer I further improved my English by attending a two month language course in London. Therefore, communicating in English is not a problem for me.
To enhance my knowledge of equity markets, I started trading two years ago. I experienced that risk is more than a word and I learned to deal with the great responsibility that handling risk requires.

Given my Bachelor in Banking and Finance, my work experiences and my strong analytical, team playing and communication skills, I am a particularly good fit for the equity research position at your firm. I am convinced that my strong work ethic, my motivation and my ability to grasp new ideas quickly will enable me to become a valuable asset of UBS.
