People nowadays are exceedingly conscious of what they look like, which promotes school photography companies to provide a new service: airbrushing. However, there is an argument as to whether parents should airbrush their children?s school photos. In my opinion, I do not agree parents should airbrush their children school photos as it is not realistic. It is just indicating their deficient and negative self-image and teenager would never focus on their physical healthy anymore.

First of all, let?s think about it, why do we need to take school photos? It is because we want to record something real, to record the natural us. However, the aim of airbrushing is to improve pieces that do not look good, which is not realistic. After 30 years when you looked back to your school photo and wondered, ?For heaven sack why was I looked like that?? Yes, your face was full of pimple, but you would still smile at it, why? Although you don?t looking brilliant there, but that's just part of the journey, part of your history, you will think about how unhealthy you were because you ate a lot of chips. If parents airbrush their children school photos, it will lose its realistic of the photo, it will lose a part of their child?s memory, that is the contrast of photo taking.
Airbrushing school photos will encourage them to deny themselves what they do, to lower their self esteem. In the school environment, teacher are try to promote self-esteem and not focus on aesthetic. If the parent chooses to airbrush their children school photos, it is indicating their children have a poor self-image.
I believe that parents do not want their children to be disheveled. But once their children know that it does not matter whether they look like a vagrant, they messed up with themselves, kept themselves unkempt, they just have to airbrush their photo and they will not leave a trace when they grow up. Is that really what parents want from airbrush?

Parents should not airbrush their children school photos base on the fact that it is not realistic. It is just indicating their children?s deficient and negative self-image and teenager would never focus on their physical healthy anymore.
