Original Text: Elevator Speech
I was talking to my friend the other day and I told him I had started online classes and he said he was thinking about doing that also and he wanted me to explain to him how my classes worked . So I explained to him about the class forum where we log into our classes there we get assignments and talk to the instructor and other classmates. He asked me if we all had to be online at the same time and told no we all long in at different times but we can still all communicate with each other it’s called Asynchronous communication. Then I went on to tell him about feedback how we get our assements back from our instructor that tells us how we are doing and if there was anything we don’t understand then we just email the instructor and they usually send a reply when they log back on again. Then I went on to tell about our classroom discussion where the instructor ask the class a question and we all put in our responses to the question and talk back and forth on each other answers kind of like being in a chat room except we call it threaded discussion. Well I hoped I explained it to him like I see it. He said he would look into it I hope he does cause I like this environment and it works well with my work.

Revised Text:
I was talking to my friend the other day, and I told him that I had started online classes. He said he was thinking about doing that also and wanted me to explain how my classes worked. I told him about the class forum where we log into our classes, get assignments and talk to the instructor and other classmates. He asked me if we all had to be online at the same time? I told him, "No, we all log in at different times but we can still all communicate with each other. It’s called Asynchronous communication."
Then I went on to tell him about feedback, how we get our assessments back from our instructor that tell us how we are doing. If there was anything we didn’t understand, we just email the instructor and they usually send a reply when they log back on again.
I went on to tell about our classroom discussion, where the instructor asks the class a question. We all put in our responses and talk back and forth about each others' answers, kind of like being in a chat room except we call it threaded discussion.
Well, I hoped I explained it to him like I see it. He said he would look into it. I hope he does because I like this environment and it works well with my work.
