Original Text: Her Biggest Fear
“Alex has been so distant lately, all he’s been doing lately is hanging with those good for nothing friends of his.” Winter thought to herself. As much as winter hated feeling neglected, she knew she wasn’t going anywhere. Alex was the Bill Gates of his own law firm. More importantly, he made sure that she always had the best of the best. Half of million dollar beach front glass house in the upper class part of California and an indoor heated pool. Six rooms with 5½ baths. Closet filled with all the top of the line designer shoes, clothes, and purses. Also, a gym, Alex insisted on having a gym, so that winter could maintain that perfect body of hers that he loved so much. At the end of the day Winter knew that she was lucky to have him. She was then envy of all her friends, but she couldn’t help but to ask herself “was Alex really with his friends, or was he having an affair”? Winter’s thoughts were abruptly interrupted, when she heard Alex’s voice calling to her from downstairs. Quickly releasing her thoughts she got on the elevator to greet her husband. “Hey honey” jumping into his arms,” I missed you”. Releasing her husband from her warm embrace, she notices Malik, Alex’s best friend giving her a piercing look of jealousy, but quickly trying to hide it, when their eyes met. “Hey Winter, I haven’t seen you in forever, but you still look as good as you did the first time Alex introduced you.” Thanks, you don’t look to bad yourself”. Winter said with a strong sense of sarcasm. Turning back to Alex winter asks “what would you like for dinner tonight sweetheart”? Whatever you would like, the boys and I are going out for drinks tonight”. Alex Responded. “Alex that’s the third time this week, are you forgetting that you have a wife and that she may require some attention from time to time as well”?“Winter not today and definitely not in front of company, now I’ve had a long day at work and I need a few drinks” Alex protests. “Whatever Alex I had a long day cleaning, trying to make sure everything was perfect for when you got here, but it’s fine since you want so badly to be with your friends pack an overnight bag. Goodnight! Winter angrily storms off to the bedroom this time using the stairs. Malik waits till he hears the door slam and then says “When are you going to leave her”? “Aren’t I enough woman for you?” licking Alex’s earlobe. “You not a woman at all Malik, so as much as I would love for you to be the one I wake up to every morning. I have an image to keep, the media would have a field day with this and my life would be over, so just calm down and think of what you’ll be getting tonight. Smiling at the thought Malik drops the conversation interrupting his thoughts Alex yells for him to come.

Revised Text:
“Alex has been so distant lately. All he’s been doing lately is hanging with those good for nothing friends of his.” Winter thought to herself. As much as Winter hated feeling neglected, she knew she wasn’t going anywhere. Alex was the Bill Gates of his own law firm. More importantly, he made sure that she always had the best of the best. A half million dollar, beach front, glass house with an indoor heated pool in the upper class part of California. Six rooms with 5½ baths, closets filled with all the top of the line designer shoes, clothes, and purses. Also, a gym, Alex insisted on having a gym, so Winter could maintain that perfect body of hers that he loved so much.
At the end of the day, Winter knew that she was lucky to have him. She was the envy of all her friends, but she couldn’t help but ask herself, “Was Alex really with his friends, or was he having an affair?"
Winter’s thoughts were interrupted when she heard Alex’s voice calling to her from downstairs. Quickly releasing her thoughts, she got on the elevator to greet her husband. “Hey honey,” jumping into his arms, ”I missed you”. Releasing her husband from her warm embrace, she notices Malik, Alex’s best friend, giving her a piercing look of jealousy, but quickly trying to hide it when their eyes met. “Hey Winter, I haven’t seen you in forever, but you still look as good as you did the first time Alex introduced you.”
"Thanks, you don’t look to bad yourself.” Winter said with a strong sense of sarcasm. Turning back to Alex, Winter asks, “What would you like for dinner tonight, sweetheart?"
"Whatever you would like, the boys and I are going out for drinks tonight.” Alex Responded.
“Alex that’s the third time this week. Are you forgetting that you have a wife, and that she may require some attention from time to time as well?”
“Winter, not today and definitely not in front of company. Now I’ve had a long day at work and I need a few drinks” Alex protests.
“Whatever Alex. I had a long day cleaning, trying to make sure everything was perfect for when you got here, but it’s fine. Since you want so badly to be with your friends, pack an overnight bag. Goodnight!" Winter angrily storms off to the bedroom, this time using the stairs.
Malik waits till he hears the door slam and then says, “When are you going to leave her? Aren’t I enough woman for you?” licking Alex’s earlobe.
“You're not a woman at all, Malik. So as much as I would love for you to be the one I wake up to every morning, I have an image to keep. The media would have a field day with this, and my life would be over, so just calm down and think of what you’ll be getting tonight.
Smiling at the thought, Malik drops the conversation. Interrupting his thoughts, Alex yells for him to come.
