I take an online religion class that asked for 1-2 paragraphs on misconceptions of Judaism and if I agree. Can you please proofread this for sentence structure and if it flows? Thanks:
Society presents Judaism as a religion of either victims or greedy business men which are misconceptions. One common belief was that Jews killed Jesus when it was the Romans. To this day some Christians still choose to believe that misconception. There are several different branches of Judaism that stretch from Orthodox to Reform and Conservative Jews. These different types of Judaism follow different traditions and restrictions. The idea of a one-fits-all Jew that exist in society is simply not true. Judaism has a diverse following from wealthy to dirt poor. A final misconception is, a belief that Jewish people run the media and our banks. In 2010, CNN anchorman, Rick Sanchez, was fired after making anti-Semitic remarks on a radio station in which he claimed Jews run CNN and other news outlets.
Jewish followers believe in one God. They believe in living life with obedience to that God. Jews don't believe Jesus is a messiah and that biblical verses about Jesus are mistranslated. The Jewish people read religious text known as the Torah for guidance with rituals and daily life. They celebrate holidays such as Passover, Yom Kippur, and Hanukkah. A majority of Jewish followers attend a synagogue on Saturdays for Sabbath. Since there is a wide range of Jewish followers, some continue the traditional way of life and send their children to Hebrew schools. They eat Kosher food which prohibits certain meats and dairy products. One of the biggest difference from Christianity is that Judaism focuses more on improving life on Earth and interactions with each other instead of the afterlife.
