Original Text: Leadership
The rationale of this assignment is to describe the subject of leadership in nursing. All the way through in this assignment I would be describing the different styles of leadership. As a result it will improve my knowledge and practical skills apart from academic development. However in this work I will highlight the knowledge of health professionals who has identified the leadership management in current episode. Modern healthcare delivery system has a great need for improved understanding and effective use of leadership.
Leadership is defined in different ways by authors. Bednashs (2003) asserts that “leadership is a vital component of change” (p.258) in the same vein Bennis (2001) says that a leader makes a vision. Tourangeau (2003) used a border definition stating that leaders are those who face up to the process, to motivate a common vision, allow others to act, model the way, and give confidence. According to Huber (2000) leadership can be defined as a systematic process of influencing people to accomplish goals by guiding and motivating people. That means leadership is simply a process that is used to move a group toward goal setting and goal achievement, Bernard and Walsh (1990, p.16). Gardener (1990,p.1) expanded leadership “as the process of influence that induces a group to pursue objectives held by leader and his or her followers. Johns and Moser (2001, p. 116) emphasize that "leadership is a dynamic process, varying from situation to situation with changes in the leader, followers, and the situations."

Revised Text:
The rationale for this assignment is to describe leadership in nursing. In this paper I will be describing the different styles of leadership. This will improve my knowledge and practical skills, apart from academic development. However, in this work I will highlight the knowledge of health professionals who have explored leadership management in the current episode.
The modern healthcare delivery system has a great need to improve the understanding of and effective use of leadership.
Leadership is defined in different ways. Bednashs (2003) asserts that “leadership is a vital component of change.” (p.258) In the same vein, Bennis (2001) says that a leader makes a vision. Tourangeau (2003) used a broader definition, stating that leaders are those who face up to the process, motivate a common vision, allow others to act, model the way, and give confidence.
According to Huber (2000), leadership can be defined as a systematic process of influencing people to accomplish goals by guiding and motivating people. That means leadership is simply a process that is used to move a group toward goal setting and goal achievement, Bernard and Walsh (1990, p.16). Gardener (1990,p.1) expanded leadership “as the process of influence that induces a group to pursue objectives held by leader and his or her followers." Johns and Moser (2001, p. 116) emphasize that "leadership is a dynamic process, varying from situation to situation with changes in the leader, followers, and the situations."
