"First of all I would like to kindly salute you/send my kindest regards. I also want to seize this opportunity to thank you for those good wishes dedicated to the work I have been putting together regarding the cross-cultural adaptation of the AFCH.
In order to get such an adaptation, the forward-backward-translation method has been applied. This method initially consists of making a (forward) translation from English into Spanish by two Spanish native speaker translators. This stage has been successfully accomplished. The result has been a new version that was proof-read and assessed by other two Spanish native speaker translators.
The next step will be the backward translation. This is being done by a British English native speaker translator. Once this new version is concluded, I would like to count on your support so you could review it and compare it with the original. Thus, we can establish the scale of conceptual equivalence between both questionnaires. I suppose I can send you this new version in English the next week.
As a final point, I inform you that once all this process is finished, we will proceed to carry out the pilot study for the Spanish version technical analysis.
