Original Text: More Too Clothes
Trawling through the latest magazines, picking out the pieces of clothing that catch my eye. “Oh I like that one, and that one!”. I total it all up… and oh dear, £100. Just slightly out of my budget. Yes, the effects of being a student, but also this recession - which isn’t helping. And to make it worse. Cotton prices are on the increase, therefore meaning clothes prices are on the up - tops, socks, underwear! I needn’t feel sorry for myself, or my bank account. People are slaving away, going through hard labour to make me that high street top, which, I will rarely wear!. Having heard the positive effects of selling Fair-trade clothes I now begin to see how charging a few extra pound can help. Yes, will cost be that bit more, but it’s a minimal amount (one less magazine this week), for those labourers it’s their meal, needed piece of clothing or maybe a well deserved treat. For I can only guess just how appreciative they would be. I don’t need that new t-shirt just for instant gratification on my weekly shopping trip. Perhaps it would be a good idea to only sell Fair-trade clothing. Maybe?

Too Many Clothes
Trawling through the latest magazines, picking out the pieces of clothing that catch my eye (Oh I like that one, and that one!) I total it all up… and oh dear, £100. Just slightly out of my budget.
Yes, the effects of being a student, but also of this recession - which isn’t helping. To make it worse, cotton prices are on the increase, meaning clothes prices increasing - tops, socks, underwear!
I shouldn’t feel sorry for myself, or my bank account. People are slaving away, going through hard labour to make me that high street top, that I will rarely wear!.
Having heard the positive effects of buying Fair-trade clothes, I now begin to see how paying a few extra pounds can help. Yes, the cost will be a bit more, but it’s a minimal amount (one less magazine this week.) For those labourers it’s their meal, a needed piece of clothing or maybe a well deserved treat. I can only guess just how appreciative they would be. I don’t need that new t-shirt just for instant gratification on my weekly shopping trip. Perhaps it would be a good idea to only buy Fair-trade clothing.
Maybe?
