Original Text: Standford Essay
After graduation, I was placed in top MNC- CSC. When everything looked settled and perfect then I explored one much talked about topic – HIV/AIDS. Somehow that learning introduced fear in me. After that what happened for next 3 years was the worst phase of my life.
Fear took control of my life and was so strong and overwhelming that I had almost lost everything including my Job.
1-day I got a chance to meet the genuine HIV patients and real suffering. I suddenly felt foolish and guilty for wasting precious time of my life when I could have been helping those people who were actually fighting that disease.
Deep down inside, I really felt brainwashed and discovered real aim of my life – to give significant contribution in this field. That decision that I made changed everything about me and my life.
After that episode, I have shown professional commitment toward my IT organization. I have won Best Team Leader & Employee of the quarter award but my real aim is now something else.
I joined one reputed NGO and with my good work & commitment I have become Health Coordinator. Working as a Health coordinator in this NGO, I received various awards including award from Health Minister of the state.
Passionate about changing lives, changing organizations and changing the world, I want to manage Non-profit organization working in HIV/AIDS area.
I realized that for someone’s decisions and ideas to impact firms in broader context that person needs to be in higher management and exhibit excellent managerial skills.
I wish to do MBA from prestigious university like Stanford Program and study courses like Strategic Management of Nonprofits Institutions that will help me to develop a leadership mindset and strong foundation of management skills that will help me in Managing activities in Non-profit organization specifically HIV/AIDS organizations and launch me into a life of meaning and impact.
