Original Text: The Field 10
After dropping out of school, both couples finely found equitable apartments. Their parents were very displeased with the idea, but after numerous arguments, they finely gave in.
Two years later, both couples were married, but contrary to Elizabeth and Alan, they got married at the town hall. It was cheaper and just as legitimate. But Elizabeth had a deferent opinion about marriage and so did her parents. She would never think of getting married at a courthouse, it was considered a disgrace to her, but mostly to her family. To Elizabeth’s family, it was everything or nothing period. Money was no problem for the wedding, for the Carters were wealthy people.
Today Jessie works for a construction company. After a few years of trade courses in mechanics, Hubert is now working for (TEXACO) garage down Main Street. Alan Beaudion is always doing his best to please Elizabeth.
