Original Text: The Field 15
It was 11:30pm when the ninth round came to its end. (The Golden Valley Beavers) had won. Slowly the old bleachers would be deserted once again. Vehicles parked long side the gravel road, were slowly leaving the field. The lampposts’ above the field were being kept lit until the grounds were completely empty.
Alan and Elizabeth were already walking towards the park. Alan was carrying the cushion. Hubert Chassé and his wife Helen accompanied Jessie Cardinal and his wife Jennifer. This year contrary to last year’s game, Hubert was very good at striking the ball, which surprised Jessie. Two straight home runs, now that sure was something else.
“Hey Hubert,” wailed Jessie from behind.
“If you keep hitting the ball the way you did tonight, were liable to be playing against the big leagues.” Laughter
“Thanks for the compliment Jessie, but a--”
Hubert looks over his shoulder towards Jessie with a large smile.
“I think I’ll keep playing against our little home teams for the moment.” Chuckles

It was 11:30 pm when the ninth inning came to its end, and the Golden Valley Beavers had won.
Slowly the old bleachers would become deserted once again. Vehicles parked along side the gravel road were slowly leaving. The lampposts above the field were being kept lit until the grounds were completely empty.
Alan and Elizabeth were already walking towards the park, with Alan carrying the cushion. Hubert Chassé and his wife Helen accompanied Jessie Cardinal and his wife Jennifer. This year, differently than last year’s game, Hubert had been very good at hitting the ball, which surprised Jessie. Two straight home runs, now that sure was something else.
“Hey Hubert,” yelled Jessie from behind, “If you keep hitting the ball the way you did tonight, were liable to be playing in the big leagues.” Laughter.
“Thanks for the compliment Jessie, but a...” Hubert looked over his shoulder towards Jessie with a large smile. “I think I’ll keep playing against our little home teams for the moment.” Chuckles.
